PLEASE TOUCH MUSEUM WEDDING

By | Weddings | One Comment

What a whirlwind of a day!! First of all, this day was not the first wedding for Swetha & Jon. The happily, already married couple already celebrated in India alongside Swetha’s family in a traditional ceremony and celebration. The wedding, in traditional fashion, lasted several days and was a huge event! Following their Indian wedding, Swetha & Jon had their American wedding right here in Philadelphia, at the Please Touch Museum. The location was perfect for this fun-loving couple who did not let anything get in their way of a great time.

Their wedding date happened to fall on the first beautiful spring day in Philly which meant traffic….everywhere. We originally had planned on finishing the bride and groom’s preparations then meeting at the Delaware Waterfront for the first look and a few portraits, then heading to the Please Touch Museum and Whispering Wall for more photos. The traffic really threw a wrench in our plans and unfortunately we were not able to make it to the waterfront and barely had time to leave the immediate area outside of the Please Touch Museum. You would never guess how much we were running behind because of those issues because Swetha, Jon, and their families and friends were just intent on enjoying the beautiful day.

Their Please Touch Museum wedding went off without a hitch and we were still able to make beautiful photos just on the steps and areas in front of the museum. The ceremony was heartful, romantic, and sweet and was followed by some laughter and craziness on the carousel. The reception area at the Please Touch Museum is stunning. You won’t find a ballroom as grand as this anywhere else. Swetha & Jon’s good friend made custom toy centerpieces for each table, fitting given the location. The rest of the night was a true party and the dancing didn’t slow down for one second.

Swetha & Jon, you were a true pleasure to work with. Your personalities were truly magnetic and it was a joy spending the day with you both, even if a good part of that day was sitting in an uber, slowly making our way through traffic. I wish you both a life together filled with even more beauty than BOTH of your weddings!
