Portraits

As my slow season ends I can’t help but get really excited for 2018. I photographed a few sessions so far in 2018 but this South Jersey portrait photography session is the start to my official photo season. I loved working with Madison on her senior portraits recently! We started in the studio for a few photos then, since we luckily had great weather, we walked throughout the town of Riverton to complete the session. The evening was pretty overcast and since nothing is blooming yet, it was tricky trying to add some color and dimension to the photos. After a walk through town we stumbled on some great yellow blooms (I am not a nature person and don’t know the name of these popular bushes) which looked amazing paired with Madison’s blonde hair and periwinkle dress! This was definitely a great start to the year and I’m so excited to get out and start the season!

I had the pleasure of photographing these two beauties for the second year in a row! We had a great time making a few formal style photos in the studio and then making our way down to the waterfront for some gorgeously sunny photos – just like their personalities! And of course there were a lot of silly poses, grand finales, and a ton of laughs.

I love offering South Jersey portrait photography sessions in the studio and throughout the local neighborhood. This session is a prime example of the wide variety we can capture in a session when using the indoor space as a more formal option then heading outside for some candids and dramatic light.

Christmas might be over as well as 2015 but I always keep promises to my clients not to post any spoilers that may ruin Christmas cards. So since Christmas cards should be safely in the hands of their recipients now is as good a time as any to post some of the amazingness that went down in the studio this holiday season! This the second year for the South Jersey Christmas Portraits day of mini sessions and it was definitely a success. I can’t wait to plan for 2016!
