Michelle and Jeff’s Reeds at Shelter Haven wedding was an exra special one for me to photograph. Michelle and I first met almost eight years ago when she started working for the same company as me, both in the accounting department. I left accounting a few years ago and then moved on to work for a different company as well, but in the same building. My office faces the parking lot and when I saw Michelle coming in to work in the morning, I would make sure I told her that she looked amazing, like a total creep!! And I made sure to tell her that again on her wedding day because she truly never looked more beautiful. I was more than honored that Michelle chose me to photograph her day! I was excited to be there not only to capture these memories but also to see someone who I admire and respect, say I do to a wonderful man.
The day started out with sunshine and we crossed our fingers that our photo plans would work out. Unfortunately the rain poured down during prep, leaving us stuck indoors for the first look and a good part of the bridal party portraits. After the rain stopped we brought a towel outside and took as many portraits as we could before the ceremony. The rest of the evening was on and off with rain, with a few flickering lights and claps of thunder, which left us all wondering if we would have power for the reception. Luckily we did! Friends and family partied the night away and celebrated alongside Michelle and Jeff.
Congratulations newlyweds and best wishes for a beautiful life together!
